This area covers the Choa Chu Kang estate, the Mandai area and the northern part of Bukit Panjang.
Choa Chu Kang estate is primarily an HDB housing estate interspersed with same condominiums. The Mandai area is a mostly undeveloped forested nature reserve and part of the Central Catchment Area for rainwater collection by the numerous reservoirs in the central part of Singapore, of which Upper Seletar Reservoir is partially shown in the bottom-right quadrant.
The main transport ways shown in this map are :
- the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) which runs north towards the Causeway in Woodlands, and southwards to eventually join the Pan Island Expressway (PIE).
- the Kranji Expressway (KJE) which starts from the junction with the BKE and extends westwards to the town of Choa Chu Kang and further westwards to Jurong where it joins the Pan Island Expressway (PIE).
- the major trunk roads of Woodlands Road, Mandai Road, Sungei Kadut Avenue, Sungei Kadut Drive and Choa Chu Kang Way.
- Yew Tee MRT station (NS5) located in the bottom-left quadrant within Choa Chu Kang estate.
