Map of north Pulau Ubin and Johor Straits in Singapore

This area shows the northern edge of Pulau Ubin, an island off the northeastern coast of Singapore. The body of water shown is the Straits of Johor and to the north is the southern Malaysian state of Johor.

The Singapore government has built some barricade fencing along the northern coast of Ubin to deter illegal immigrants from landing on the island. Some fishing kelongs (coastal shacks built with wooden stilts over water) may still be found in the waters off this part of the Ubin coast.
