This is the Novena MRT Station (NS20) of the North-South Line and is located on Thomson Road near the junction with Newton Road and Moulmein Road.

This station is located underground and exits lead to the Revenue House which serves as the headquarters of the government's Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS), the Goldhill shopping/office cluster (United Square, Goldhill Plaza/Centre), the Novena cluster (Novena Square, Velocity@Novena and Square2 malls) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH).

Located a short walk away from the Novena Square exit is the nearby Novena Church, a popular Catholic church that draws the crowd on weekends.
